Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was not as planned you could say. Steve and I had 3 fun filled days’ worth of family gathering to go to and were looking forward to it all. On Saturday night we Steve’s sisters house with his side of the family. We all ate way too much, watched football and had a gift exchange. One of the gifts we got was a puzzle and just last night Steve and I put it together. We have decided we really enjoy working on puzzles now.

Christmas day started out greeting at church, then rushed home to ice Steve’s knee (he has a medial meniscectomy on Thursday) then off to the Zerba’s for Christmas dinner. Uncle Den made Chris, Amanda, Steve and I marshmallow shooters and we had some good laughs using them. After eating way too much again we came home, picked up the boys and went to my parents’ house for more gifts and to watch the Packers play on dads new 60 inch TV.

From there, about 6pm Christmas night, Steve and I proceeded to get very sick, unable to keep anything down for about 2 days. We missed the Hatch family Christmas and did not leave the house. Thank goodness my parents were able to walk to boys for us Monday to get them out for a few minutes. Finally by Wednesday I was able to make it to work and we have been fine since. Just have been working on cleaning up after cooking for the holiday and new gifts to put away, I planned to clean the house Monday morning before the Hatch Christmas but that did not happen.

I was originally only going to do a very short blog and post a few videos for Chad and Lambeau’s (mainly Chads) skills at opening Christmas gifts but due to the format of our iPhones and my ability with computers I can’t get them to post and plus they were all taken sideways. We can show whom every, when we see you next, on the phone if you care to see.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to come.

Zoo Lights

We went to the Zoo Lights for the first time this year. Here are a few fun photos.

Bathroom Update

A week before Thanksgiving we decide that our blue and yellow bathroom had to go and we needed something a bit nicer, no more primary colors. So we painted, put crown molding and wainscoting up as well. Here are some halfway and finished pictures.

The new, much more inviting!
